“The burial procedures of our citizens who lost their lives have been completed. Aftershocks continue. It looks like it will continue for a while. Therefore, we insistently demand to stay away from buildings that are damaged or will be demolished. Our damage assessment studies continue. 230 thousand buildings were inspected by the damage assessment teams. These buildings are in working condition.
The main thing is; Detection of damaged buildings is their immediate demolition so that homeowners can be accommodated in undamaged buildings. It is important that the buildings where damage assessments are made are cleaned as soon as possible, but it is also important to examine the evidence with the prosecution offices before these debris are removed. We continue to work in the field with 73 aircraft and 112 helicopters. UAVs and drones are also actively used in studies.
Hatay Airport was opened. Our planes are in the air to land at the airport. We can evacuate from there. We know that the need for tents is high. Tents are increasing with the support of all institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations and abroad.
The work to create a container city of 5 thousand units has started. Our citizens have reached 1 million 200 thousand, both with the evacuation and the total number of disaster victims sheltered in that region. We have nearly 400 thousand registered evacuees, and we know that there are citizens who left by their own means.
We continue to provide controlled electricity and natural gas to the region. We continue in a controlled manner in order not to be exposed to a secondary disaster. If there is damage to any building there, it can be very troublesome to energize it.
The financial support that the region needs is also provided, and we continue to provide assistance without hesitation for whatever is needed.
Although studies are being carried out to ensure communication, we have taken a decision by meeting with the operators. GSM operators Türk Telekom, Turkcell and Vodafone will provide all calls free of charge for a period of one month from the moment of the earthquake.

We want to make that child feel the compassionate hand of the state throughout his life. We had 574 children whose families could not be reached, 76 of them were handed over to their families.
