Continuing its work in line with the common mind, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality made a call this time to design the future of the Capital with students and young entrepreneurs.
ABB organizes the “Original Project Competition” for university students and young entrepreneurs. To the competition organized for university students and young entrepreneurs; undergraduate, graduate, doctoral students and young entrepreneurs who own companies can participate.

PROJECTS WILL BE SEPARATED IN TWO CATEGORIES
The competition organized to solve the problems of the city; It will take place in two categories, “Free Project” and “ABB Special Project”.
In the "Freelance Project" category; “transportation and public transport, infrastructure, clean water and sewerage, environment, green space, parks, sports, vertical agriculture, smart agriculture, production functions, renewable energy, internet of things, data collection and data security, planning and governance, digital in everyday life. Innovative projects where functional solutions are produced with alternatives and projects under the heading of “sustainability” will be evaluated.
Topics in the “ABB Special Project” category are as follows:
“Energy saving in municipal institutions by producing energy from natural sources, mapping Ankara underground, detecting sewer/water loss-leakage faults, measuring environmental pollution and solution suggestions, measuring noise pollution and solution suggestions, measuring air pollution and suggestions for solutions, green space and sports determination of area needs based on population, classification of solid waste, detection of illegal waste dumping sites, detection of illegal excavation sites, functional and sustainable evaluation of municipal and environmental wastes, fluid travel planning that allows buses to be organized according to rush hour, smart transportation planning, non-stop in public transportation line requirement determination, smart data collection methods and their adaptation to ABB platforms, fire stations and route optimization, systems that can predict possible disaster situations, location-based evaluation of street life and needs and resolution.”
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 15 NOVEMBER 2022
Project proposals will be received in the 1st stage of the competition. Each project that enters the top 10 will be given 15 thousand TL immediately and 2 thousand TL, the rest of which will be in the 40nd stage, and working space at ABB Technology Centers. Projects; It will be evaluated in terms of original value and contribution, widespread impact and target audience, scientific method, feasibility (labor, budget, time, risk analysis), applicability and regulatory compliance.
In the second stage of the competition, prototyping and piloting will be done. At this stage, 2 thousand TL will be given as the first prize, 100 thousand TL as the second prize and 75 thousand TL as the third prize.
