Installation of 72 Beams on Kuruçeşme Tram Completed

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which focuses on new road and road widening works, bridge and junction arrangements, as well as rail system investments, does not slow down in the new line works that will extend comfortable and uninterrupted transportation to the Kuruçeşme region. In this context, in the Kuruçeşme Tram Line project, which will facilitate transportation from the Izmit district center to the Kuruçeşme region, steel beams are being assembled intensively. Accordingly, a total of 100 steel beams will be placed on the abutments of the 332-meter-long bridge built on the D-250.

72 STEEL BEAMERS ARE PLACED ON FEET

Within the scope of the project, Akçaray Tramway will pass from Plajyolu to Kuruçeşme side with a 9-foot bridge. Metropolitan teams, which have been working with an intense tempo for months, combined 109 of 72 beams brought to the field and placed them on the feet. The assembly of the steel beams, which are brought to the site in parts, is carried out at regular intervals.

FLOOR RECONSTRUCTION AND PAVEMENT MANUFACTURING

In addition to the assembly of beams within the scope of the work, the teams of the Department of Science Affairs are manufacturing curbs and pavements on the side roads where the first stage asphalt is laid. The teams working on arranging the junction in the area where the old lights are located, are working on the ground where the tram will descend from the bridge, before the ground reinforcement and concrete is laid.

DOMESTIC PRODUCTION RAILS ARE AVAILABLE

Within the scope of the project, approximately 190 tons of domestic production rails purchased from the relevant company started to be brought to the site. Rail assembly will begin within the scope of the work. The project works of the domestic production truss to be supplied from the truss company in Karabuk and the expansion gaskets in the steel tram bridge approaches continue.

AKÇARAY TRAM LINE TO BE EXTENDED

The tram, which has become one of the indispensable means of transportation for Kocaeli residents, will reach a double line of 10 thousand 212 meters with its new line. With the 3-kilometer single-line warehouse area, the single-line length of the tram will increase to 23,4 kilometers, and the number of stops will increase to 16 with Kuruçeşme station. With the project, which will add convenience and comfort to the lives of citizens, access to the center of Izmit, Sekapark and the bus station will be faster.
