ARES Shipyard included images of ULAQ IDA's Electronic Warfare configuration in its Twitter post regarding the visit of Ankara Military Attachés Union. There is no information about which function (Electronic Support or Electronic Attack) the system in the configuration performs.

In the future, it is planned to develop versions of the ULAQ Armed Unmanned Naval Vehicle that can perform tasks such as DSH (Submarine Defense Warfare), Mine Hunting, Intelligence-Observation-Reconnaissance. Fire tests of the port defense configuration, equipped with the prototype equipped with the ROKETSAN YALMAN gun turret and the KORALP 12.7mm RCWS, which share the same hull design, have been conducted so far.

New surface warfare configuration for ULAQ SİDA

Speaking on Unmanned Marine Vehicles at the International Maritime Security and Defense Conference held in Hamburg, Germany on 7-9 September 2022, ARES Shipyard General Manager Utku Alanç included the new surface warfare configuration for the ULAQ Armed Unmanned Naval Vehicle.

In the configuration that includes anti-ship/cruise missiles and RCWS, the ROKETSAN ÇAKIR cruise missile appears as a strong candidate. A concept previously existed for a surface configuration of the ULAQ family that could be equipped with anti-ship missiles of higher size and tonnage.
