While representatives from 2022 countries came together at the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) 71 Conference hosted by Zoomarine in Portugal, Eskişehir Zoo, the only participant from Turkey, successfully represented our country with the project it was running and the presentation it made.
The Zoo in Sazova Science Culture and Art Park, which was brought to Eskişehir by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality in 2017 and has hosted 3 million visitors to date, continues to attract great attention in the international arena with its successful works on natural life protection.
The European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) 2022 Conference, which is shown as one of the most important conferences in Europe, was held in Portugal, hosted by Zoomarine. Eskişehir Zoo, which received the only invitation from Turkey and participated in the conference, successfully represented our country with its presentation and interest in the giant organization where 71 institutions from 102 countries and 919 participants took part.
Eskişehir Zoo, which participated in the conference in Portugal with the “Little Vulture Tracking and Conservation Project”, made a poster presentation and introduced the project. The representatives of EAZA member Zoos, who liked the project very much, congratulated the Eskişehir delegation.
The 2023 Conference of the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) will be held in Helsinki, Finland on 12-16 September 2023.
