Retired Holiday Bonus Announced! 1100 TL

The good news that millions of retirees were waiting for did not come… The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Bilgin, said that an increase in the bonus to be paid to the pensioner during the holiday is not on the agenda at the moment. Noting that no additional increase will be made to the minimum wage, Bilgin also stated that no study has been carried out for EYT members.

The amount of the bonus planned to be paid for the retirees during the Ramadan Feast has been determined.

Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, announced that the bonus to be paid to the pensioner during the holiday was determined as 1100 TL. Bonuses will be paid on April 28-29.

Last week, the CHP proposed a law demanding that the holiday bonus of retirees be increased from 1100 lira to 4 thousand 253 lira net minimum wage. In the bill, it was proposed to give holiday bonuses to those who retired from banks, insurance companies, chambers of commerce and industry and stock exchanges.

On the other hand, DİSK-AR, emphasizing that the retirement holiday bonuses have increased by only 5 percent in the last 10 years, emphasized that a bonus of 5 TL should be paid this holiday in order to compensate the pensioner's 4-year bonus loss according to inflation.

Answering the questions on NTV, Bilgin said, “An update on the minimum wage in line with inflation is not on the agenda. We should not slide into populist demands, we are realistic," he said.

Stating that the legal arrangement in 3600 additional indicators will come to the Parliament this year, Bilgin said, "I think it will be out of the Parliament at the end of this year."

Bilgin also stated that there is no study on retirement age (EYT) on their agenda at the moment.
