Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyervisited the Tree of Life Library in front of the Bergama Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility, which it opened. Stating that the facility management liked the Tree of Life Library, which he established with the books among the wastes brought, Mayor Soyer once again called for the "A Library for Every Neighborhood" campaign.
Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer, CHP Deputy Chairman and Çanakkale Deputy Muharrem Erkek examined the Tree of Life Library established in the facility after the Bergama Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility was inaugurated. President Soyer received information about the Tree of Life Library, which the plant employees set up with the books among the waste brought to the plant. Expressing that he liked the Tree of Life Library very much, Mayor Soyer called for book donations to the campaign they started with the aim of establishing a library in every neighborhood. President Soyer said, “We need a lot of books. We have no other salvation. We need to bring more children and more people together with books," he said.
“We will bring you a book on our way”
CHP Deputy Chairman Muharrem Erkek stated that he was aware of the President Soyer's “A Library for Every Neighborhood” campaign and said, “Many books are needed. From now on, we will bring books to you. When you say the library, the flowing water stops,” he said.
Don't throw the books away!
The facility officials asked the citizens to deliver the books to them, not throw them in the trash.
