The future of the aviation industry was discussed at the meeting hosted by Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone Directorate under the chairmanship of Eskişehir Governor Erol Ayyıldız.

Under the chairmanship of Eskişehir Governor Erol Ayyıldız; Deputy Governor Akın Ağca, Eskişehir Chamber of Industry (ESO) President Celalettin Kesikbaş, Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (EOSB) President Nadir Küpeli, TUSAŞ Motor Industry AŞ (TEI) General Manager Prof. Dr. Mahmut Faruk Akşit, Alp Aviation Inc. Metin Turan, Purchasing and Logistics Director, Coşkunöz Defense and Aerospace Inc. General Manager Bilal Can, Savronik Electronics Chief Executive Officer Tarkan Uygunuçarlar, Turbomak A.Ş. General Manager Sinan Musubeyli, Aycan Aviation A.Ş. A meeting was held with the participation of General Manager Adnan Canseven.

The future of the aviation industry and the latest developments were discussed at the meeting hosted by Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone Directorate. At the meeting, it was stated that Eskişehir has the most rooted and developed aviation industry in the country since the past, with its R&D and technology infrastructure. At the meeting, where the problems, demands and expectations of the company representatives were also discussed, the studies to be carried out in order to increase the market shares and to ensure the further development of Eskişehir in the field of aviation were discussed.

Eskişehir Chamber of Industry President Celalettin Kesikbaş said that Eskişehir is an important city in terms of industry, and that it has serious potential especially in the defense industry and aircraft industry. Kesikbaş touched upon the problems of the sector and stated that domestic and national production activities should be supported more.

Eskişehir Governor Erol Ayyıldız stated that Eskişehir is an aviation city, that there are very important companies serving the defense industry and aircraft industry, that they produce many critical aircraft engines and aircraft parts for the world market, to increase their market share with new collaborations and to increase the market share of Eskişehir. He said that they are ready to provide all kinds of support in order to ensure its further development in the field of aviation. Governor Ayyıldız also stated that the "Creative Industries Free Zone", which had previously attempted to be established by ATAP, should be considered more broadly, expressing that companies operating in the aviation and rail systems sectors have demands for a free zone, expanding the work and establishing a free zone to cover different sectors. He stated that it would be appropriate to work on it.

Eskişehir OIZ President Nadir Küpeli stated that Eskişehir and Eskişehir OIZ are an important aviation base, and the aviation industry is the 4th largest sector in which the most labor force is employed in the provincial industry, and emphasized that serious support should be given to solve the problems experienced in the sector during and after the pandemic. Regarding the establishment of a Free Zone, Eskişehir OIZ President Nadir Küpeli said, "Our aviation companies have some demands and requests, I hope that we have revised our request for the establishment of a free zone, which we submitted to our ministry, and we will work with both creative industries (cartoons, games and software) as well as aviation, rail systems. We will work on the establishment of a free zone to cover other high-tech sectors," he said.
