Kartal-Kaynarca Metro Tunnel Works Ended

Tunnel Works of Kartal-Kaynarca Metro Ended: The first subway of the Anatolian side, which was put into service by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2012 Kadıköy-The end of the excavation works of the Kartal-Kaynarca metro tunnel, which is the continuation of the Kartal metro line, has come to an end. Kadir Topbaş, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, went down to the excavation area 38 meters below the ground and examined the subway construction closely and informed the press members.

Mayor Topbaş stated that they have invested TL 68 billion since the day they took office and said, dık We have allocated the lion's share in the IMM budget for transportation. We have allocated only 32 billion TL of our investments until this time. ”

Mayor Topbaş reminded that the first subway works in Istanbul were very old and these works were left over in time.

“We are actually witnessing a history here. As you know, the second subway in the world we know as tunnel, our short subway tunnel started at 1873 and finished at 1976. During our restoration work, there was a cigarette paper behind one of the dismantled panels there. I was very touched. I mean, someone who works there put him there to make a mark. You guys are making a lot of effort here. You're doing a job. Years later, maybe a century later, while the normal subways are operating here, millions of people will use the underground transportation systems in this city, but they will not only know us, but they will not know it individually. I thank each of you for your efforts, on behalf of the people of Istanbul. I know that history will make us happy. I hope we put the collective photo we will take with you behind one of the coatings here, so that they can see us when there is a change in years. ”

- METRO EVERYWHERE, METRO EVERYWHERE

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the mayor continued its management approach initiated during this time that record came Topbaş, "the service concept in Turkey, so we feel in our hearts, all our institutions," he said. Mayor Topbaş continued:

“The extent of civilization in a city depends on the proportion of people living in that city using public transport. We have invested in 68,5 billion pounds in every field from the infrastructure of Istanbul to the social fabric until today and we continue. Subways can be realized in serious numbers. If you say 50 million dollars per kilometer, we can easily understand what the cost means. In spite of this, we started with the slogan 'Everywhere Metro, Everywhere Metro' by using the resources given as a municipality correctly. We know what systems we integrate in Istanbul with our network in the transportation master plans we have made and which ones we develop, we will be able to use quality, comfortable transportation systems from Istanbul. ”

Stating that with the new metro line costing 105,6 million dollars, uninterrupted transportation will be provided from Hacıosman to Tuzla, President Topbaş continued his speech as follows:

“We aim to reach a rail system of 2019 kilometers in 400. We bring the quality and comfortable transportation system to Istanbul with our people. Our future plans include making a subway stop within half an hour of walking distance to each neighborhood. The Kaynarca stop here is not the last line. This line will reach Tuzla. At the end of the year, we will see that the wagons will be downloaded and test drives will be made.

Stating that they do not invest only in subways for comfortable transportation in Istanbul, Mayor Topbaş stated that they invested in maritime transportation and intergrated sea and metro transportation.

Mayor Topbaş underlined that wagons will be lowered into tunnels and test drives will begin at the end of the year. İstanbul Istanbul is gaining more modern and higher quality systems that use the most advanced technologies since their metro has been constructed recently. Before us maybe 100 years ago was the subway builders. But now they're old models. This is where the latest model subways are full of modern wagons, and in terms of comfort, quality and safety, a completely different system will emerge. ”

Mayor Topbaş then passed the map of the new metro line and gave information to the press members about the stops.
