Snow craving in Kartepe Ski Resort

Kartepe Ski Center in the snow longing for: the important winter tourism centers of Turkey Kartepe, be enough snow in the region despite the school to enter the semester break so did not see the expected interest.

Due to the fact that the expected snowfall did not come to Kartepe, one of the important winter tourism centers, the occupancy rate of the hotel remained at 65 percent.

İsmet Türker, the general manager of the hotel in Kartepe, told the AA correspondent that they have been waiting for 2 days to snow in the hotel and the track area, and that it is now raining in the area.

Expressing that this period is considered as the "season" for winter tourism centers, Türker noted that they were sorry for the snow not falling.

Turkey is also expressed that there's a drought in Turkey, "Many centers were starved of snow this season. As a winter tourism center, we missed the snowfall. The last time it rained was in December, but then no more snow. Our expectations continue. Kartepe is highly preferred by our citizens living in Istanbul, Yalova, Sakarya and Kocaeli. Unfortunately, our slopes are not open due to the absence of snowfall, which prevents our guests from doing the winter sports they desire ”.

Türker who explained that the families took their children on holiday because of the semester break, 500 reported that they visited the hotel with their children.

Stating that the ski tracks are currently closed, Türker said, “If it rains, we plan to open our ski tracks at the weekend. If there were snow on our tracks during the semester break, our occupancy rate would be 100 percent. Our occupancy rate is currently about 65 percent. We organize various activities in our hotel for our children to have the best fun, ”he said.
