Recycling Attack in Keşan

4 tons of glass waste was collected and recycled in Keşan center and adjacent areas in 10 months. Keşan Municipality took an important step in waste management in the name of environmental awareness.

Keşan Municipality continues to take important steps for the recycling of waste glass in line with the principles of environmental protection and sustainability. In this context, municipal teams continue to collect waste glass bottles throughout the district and in the adjacent areas of Erikli, Yayla and Danişment beaches.

Approximately 80 tons of waste glass were collected in 4 waste glass collection bins in the region to be recycled within a 10-month period.

Making a statement on the subject, Keşan Municipality Climate Change and Zero Waste Manager Arzu Kirezli stated that behind the steps taken, it is aimed to increase environmental awareness and use resources efficiently and said, "By recycling waste glass, energy savings will be achieved and the protection of natural resources will be supported. "In addition, the reuse of materials obtained by recycling waste glass will also make a positive contribution to the economy." said.

While Kirezli emphasized that citizens should throw waste glass into designated piggy banks and support recycling in order to increase environmental awareness, he said, “We believe that these efforts, which start with small steps, will provide great benefits for the environment and future generations. “With the support of our environmentally conscious citizens, we will continue our work for a cleaner and more livable Keşan.” He used his expressions.
