Osman Kaya “While Our Rights Are Being Usurped, We Are Also Exposed to Violence!”

In his statement on the Day of Fight Against Violence in Health, Young Health Union Chairman Osman Kaya reacted to the difficult working conditions of health professionals and the violence they are exposed to.

Kaya said, “As health workers, we work in difficult conditions. Our working and living conditions have not been improved over the years, our demands have not been met, and new problems have gradually increased. "Despite all the difficulties we face, we work 7/24 to provide the best quality service to our people and patients," he said.

Personnel Problem in Health Continues

Kaya emphasized that health workers' right to wear and tear has been usurped and their wages are gradually decreasing. Kaya said, “We cannot get the wear and tear rights that we have been expressing for years. The personnel problem in the health field still continues. While violence in healthcare continues, our job security is not provided either. We want a working environment where all healthcare professionals can work under equal conditions. "We want the regulations made by the Ministry of Health to be regulations that solve the problems of all professional groups in health and bring equal work," he said.

No to Violence in Health

Kaya also reacted to the increase in violence in healthcare and said, “While all healthcare professionals work under difficult conditions, increasing cases of violence worry us. A significant portion of our healthcare professionals are under pressure from managers and administrators. A study must be carried out to prevent violence and pressure on the institution. As Young Health Union, we will continue to raise our voice against violence in healthcare. "We will continue our struggle to protect the rights of healthcare professionals and provide better working conditions," he said.
