A new company named KARLİMTAŞ, based on freight transportation, was established by Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR) with a single partner capital of 200 million liras.
In the statement, it was stated that, "Within the scope of our company's investment plan, our company is the sole partner in order to operate at home and abroad and to engage in all kinds of railway, road, sea and air transportation, including freight transportation, as well as additional activities aimed at these purposes or related to these issues." A new company was established under the title of KARLİMTAŞ KARDEMİR Port Management and Transportation Joint Stock Company, with a capital of 200.000.000 TL.” It was said.
