The abolition of the mandatory card metering application, which was the promise of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Architect Ferdi Zeyrek, was accepted unanimously at the MASKI Extraordinary General Assembly. Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ) General Directorate also published a statement on how the transformation process will work.
In the statement; “Existing card meter subscribers will now be able to switch to mechanical meters if they request. Subscribers who want to continue using card meters will be able to continue using their existing card meters. Manisa residents have the freedom to choose the water meters they will use. In order to switch to mechanical meters, card meter users must first come to the MASKİ General Directorate document registration unit in Manisa Center, and apply with a petition in person at the MASKİ district chief offices in our districts. People of Manisa will be able to apply in person by filling out the petitions at MASKI document registration units and district chief offices. After the procedures are completed, conversion operations will be carried out.
