April 28 has been celebrated as World Labor Day every year since 2007. Laboratory services now play an important role not only in healthcare but in many aspects of life. Laboratories serve the society in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the health sector, as well as in environmental safety, food control and many other areas, with their teams working meticulously and devotedly.
Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technicians
Medical laboratory technicians are graduates of the medical laboratory program from Health Vocational High Schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. Medical laboratory technicians, on the other hand, graduate from the Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Pathology Technician departments of the relevant Health Vocational Schools affiliated to the Higher Education Institution. These technicians and technicians can work in medical laboratories in all private, public and university hospitals, as well as private medical centers and laboratories.

- Accepting the sample in sample acceptance units and preparing for analysis.
- Separating and preserving urgent tests.
- Performing bloodletting.
- Conducting experiments, tests and analyzes requested by doctors and reporting the results.
- Identifying samples that should be rejected and requesting new samples.
- Conducting statistical studies, counting and recording materials and kits.
- Conducting and recording quality control studies.
- Maintaining test devices and ensuring the cleanliness of equipment.
- To carry out decontamination processes and ensure safe disposal of waste.
