Speaking at the ceremony, President Şadi Özdemir drew attention to the importance of the organization. Stating that the event, which has been held for 27 years, has brought thousands of students together with the art of painting, President Özdemir said, “Being with you and our bright students in such a beautiful event gives hope for the future. Today, Nilüfer proves once again that it is the city of culture and art. The fact that this painting competition has been held since 1997 is the most concrete indicator of this. The interest shown by the students in this competition is also pleasing. This year, 27 students from 9 schools participated in this competition, which we organized for the 70th time. A total of 11 students have participated in painting in the last 156 years, which is a very important number. "Just having this many students paint their paintings is a valuable achievement for us," he said.

Stating that their aim is not to make students compete, but to discover their talents, Şadi Özdemir said, “We want students to be able to express their dreams with pictures.
This year, we determined the theme of the painting competition we organized for secondary school students in cooperation with the Directorate of National Education as "My Own Future". We will soon have the opportunity to see how our students reflect their dreams regarding this theme into their paintings. I would also like to thank our students who showed interest in the competition, our teachers and school administrations who encouraged them. Let there always be art somewhere in your life. "We will always be with you on this issue," he said.

It continues for many years after this and sets an example for the whole country. Dealing with art makes people mature and share. Every student must play an instrument and be able to improve himself in a sport. "Hopefully, we can carry out a joint study on this issue," he said.
