Waste Left Around the Tigris River Was Cleaned

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department teams cleaned the waste left around the Tigris River.

Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department teams took action to prevent nature pollution around the Tigris River. Cleaning Branch Directorate teams carried out a meticulous cleaning work around the Tigris River, which starts at the bridge on Silvan Road and extends to Hevsel Gardens.

The teams prevented damage to the natural structure by collecting the garbage left haphazardly around the Tigris River with vehicles.

Emphasizing that waste should be bagged and left in garbage containers and buckets in order to protect the natural flora and fauna while citizens are having a picnic, the Department of Environmental Protection and Control asked everyone to fulfill their responsibilities for a clean environment.

On the other hand, metropolitan municipality teams also worked on the pond formed by excavation and rainwater left in the empty area in the Mezopotamya District. The teams removed the puddle, which could pose a risk especially for children, with a work machine and transported the construction excavations to the dump site.
