Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which attaches great importance to every branch of sports in line with its vision of "Kocaeli, the Capital of Sports", is now bringing the Sports Sports Center to the city. In this context, the foundation of the Başiskele Water Sports Center, designed in the Başiskele district, was laid. With the water sports facility to be built, many sailing and rowing athletes will be able to work all year round and will also have the opportunity to train with athletes coming from abroad for the camp.
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which has made great contributions to the development of the country's sports with the international championships and tournaments it organizes in Kocaeli, is bringing an important facility to the city that will contribute to the vision of integrating the city with the sea in terms of water sports. In this context, excavation works have been completed at the Water Sports Center to be built on Yeniköy Karşıya Beach in Başiskele district. Work continues in a workshop environment for the construction of steel buildings in the center, the foundations of which have been laid.
WATER SPORTS CENTER
The water sports center planned for sailing and rowing sports will be built in a total area of 2 thousand 129 square meters. The project, which includes training and post-training usage areas for athletes, will include administrative units, social areas, sail and boat storage areas.
