Silage Corn Seed Support to Farmers in Antalya

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality started to provide high-yield silage corn seed grant support in order to reduce the input and feed costs of producers in regions where livestock farming is intensive in Antalya.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, which continues to increase its grant support for agriculture and livestock in line with the principle of local development, continues to support producers. In addition to feed supports, the Metropolitan Municipality offers seed grants to regions where farming and animal husbandry can be done together, and started distributing highly productive silage hybrid corn seeds in three districts. Within the scope of the project, which was implemented to increase the amount and quality of meat and milk production by meeting the quality roughage needs of animals, 2 tons of hybrid seeds were distributed to 650 farmers who requested to be planted in a total area of 202 thousand 5 decares in Aksu, Serik and Elmalı. Farmers who will start producing by reducing input costs are extremely pleased with the support.

HE DECIDED TO PRODUCTION AGAIN

Süleyman Küçük, who makes his living with agriculture and animal husbandry in the Karaöz District of Aksu district, said that farmers are unable to produce and that grant supports are a lifeline for farmers. Küçük stated that increasing costs bring a great burden and said, “Agriculture and animal husbandry are becoming increasingly difficult with each passing year. Feed and feed seed grants have been a vital support to us. I was thinking hard about how we would plant this year. My neighbors said that the Metropolitan Municipality has support. I made a request immediately and received my seeds today. These supports enabled us to produce again. This is the first time we receive such support. I think every municipality should carry out such a study. Our Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek "I would like to thank our President very much for being with us and for his support," he said.

HE CONTINUES TO BE EVERYONE'S PRESIDENT

Mehmet Demir, who is a livestock breeder in Aksu Kayadibi District, stated that the incentives and supports for the producers are pleasing and said, “Our President Muhittin Böcek, remains everyone's president. By benefiting from this aid, we can breathe a little in these economic conditions. "I would like to thank our president for always being with us," he said.

Yaşar Taşlı, one of the residents of Serik Ağıroba District, said, “I have been dealing with animal husbandry for 15-20 years. I have never seen such a service before. Now, thanks to our president, everyone gets sacks of seeds for free. It is a very good support to the citizens financially. "I would like to thank our president Muhittin very much," he said.

THANKS FROM MUHTAR DEMİR

Yuva Headman Hüseyin Demir, who said that the main source of income of Elmalı Yuva District is animal husbandry and that family businesses are based on milk production, said: “In addition to animal husbandry, our agricultural lands are suitable for animal feed crop cultivation. Nowadays, increasing costs put a strain on our milk producers. "There is a lot of such support for our producers to maintain their continuity," he said.

HIGH EFFICIENCY VARIETY

Agricultural Engineer Hatice Parlak, who works at Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department, stated that the seeds distributed are a silage variety with an extremely high yield, registered by Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, and said, "The seeds, which have an average productivity of eight to ten tons per decare, are also a disease-resistant species." . "The regions to be distributed were chosen from the regions where the best results could be achieved in terms of efficiency," he said.
