Mustafa Bozbey, who was elected as the Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in the 31 March Local Government Elections, received his duty from the Deputy Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Oktay Yılmaz.

Mayor Şükrü Erdem, Harmancık Mayor Haşim Ali Arıkan, CHP Party organization and thousands of citizens attended.

Speaking after the Handover Ceremony, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said that they will realize the projects that will carry Bursa to the future together. Stating that they will work harder from now on, Mayor Bozbey said, “Our Bursa trusted us and deemed us worthy of this seat. What a great honor that we will work for this city for the next 5 years, and together we will implement the projects that will carry our Bursa to the future. From now on, we will work harder and move forward for a new Bursa without wasting even a minute. A new door opens for Bursa on the most beautiful days of spring. This is a door opening to beauty, solidarity, peace, freedom and justice. Beautiful days full of unity and solidarity are near. There is hope now. We said that you can cut all the flowers, but you cannot prevent the arrival of spring! That spring has come. "A new era has begun in Bursa," he said.

Mustafa Bozbey, who was frequently interrupted with slogans of love and support, stated that his priority was all the people of Bursa.
Underlining that they know the needs of Bursa very well, Mayor Bozbey said, “I took over the duty of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor with honor on behalf of approximately 3,5 million Bursa residents. We know the needs of this city very well. We know the demands of everyone living in this city. We traveled all over Bursa for months, listened and saw the problems on the spot. Our people believed in us and voted for us to appoint us to office. Now is the service time, we will start working quickly immediately. We don't have a minute to lose. Together we will keep the best example of democracy alive in Bursa. Our priority will be children, women, disabled individuals, dear friends, in short, the whole of Bursa. We will protect the rights of Bursa residents. I came to serve. There will be a Bursa with more investments, more green areas, more cultural and sports areas, more social support and more solidarity. After the Handover Ceremony, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey and accompanying protocol members came to the Atatürk Monument in the Statue and made a wreath presentation.
