Immediate Response to Rule Violators in İnegöl

Monitoring and Evaluation Center, one of the most important pillars of İnegöl Municipality's smart city applications, started to serve as of April. The city started to be monitored 7/24 in the Monitoring and Evaluation Center established in the New Municipality Service Building. The Monitoring and Evaluation Center played an important role in preventing traffic congestion on the main arteries, especially during the busy pre-holiday and holiday periods. In the first stage, in order to increase the awareness of the application, warnings were given to those who violated the rules by taking screenshots and photographs, and it was noted that direct penal action would begin as the process progresses.

INSPECTIONS ARE MADE ON EVERY ISSUE, NOT ONLY FOR TRAFFIC, BUT FOR THE PEACE AND SAFETY OF THE CITY

Especially in the main arteries with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic; While factors that negatively affect pedestrian and vehicle traffic such as parking bans, double row parking, pedestrian crossings, pedestrian sidewalks and stop violations are prevented by the immediate intervention of the command center, 11 intersections in İnegöl are currently monitored with artificial intelligence-supported fixed and moving camera systems. Our artificial intelligence-supported cameras detect and record violations. Detailed inspections and monitoring are carried out not only on traffic, but also on all issues that disrupt the peace, tranquility and order of the city, from beggars to street vendors, from environmental pollution to sidewalk occupation. Especially at intersections, while waiting at traffic lights, butts, napkins, etc. thrown from vehicles. While environmental pollution problems are frequently encountered, the Monitoring and Evaluation Center is equipped with technology with a resolution that can detect even these minimal-sized garbage. All violations are recorded.

INSTANT INTERVENTION WAS TAKEN DURING THE FESTIVAL

During the pre-festive period when the system was put into operation; In response to the malfunctions and rule violations detected by the Monitoring and Evaluation Center, a warning message was first sent, depending on the type of violation, and then, in case of a similar violation, penal action was taken. While criminal proceedings are carried out by both the Police Department and the Police Department, depending on the type of violation and the distribution of authority, the necessary notifications to the police units are made from this center. When situations that require intervention in traffic are detected, Police Department traffic teams are informed via video. In this way, time is saved and rapid intervention is carried out, while communication is established with the people who committed the violation.

CITIZENS WERE ALSO SATISFIED

On the other hand, citizens who received warning messages after the system started to be used gave full marks to the application. It was stated that in this way, violations could be prevented.

WARNING WAS GIVEN TO 379 VEHICLE OWNERS ONLY ON TRAFFIC ISSUES

Making a statement on the subject, Mayor Alper Taban said, “Monitoring and Evaluation Center is an application that we care about and have been working on for a long time. We first prepared the infrastructure for this. We started to implement it as of April. We currently continue to actively monitor 11 intersections. Thanks to this system, we can reach the entire city from a single point. We put the system into operation, especially during busy holidays, and saw its serious benefits. A warning message was sent to 379 vehicle owners before and during the holiday. The disruption in pedestrian and vehicle traffic was immediately intervened. Depending on the type of violation and distribution of authority, criminal proceedings are carried out by our Police teams and the Police Department. In cases related to security, necessary notifications are made to the relevant institution. Our aim here is definitely not to penalize anyone. However, living in the city has responsibilities and requirements. If we do not act within the framework of the rules, these cities will become uninhabitable. In order to ensure this order, our aim is to establish a good control mechanism. On this occasion, I invite all our citizens to comply with the rules. "Although warning messages are sent at the beginning, I would like to remind you that direct penal action will begin to be taken over time," he said.
