We started the Pilot Application. "Home Care Assistance beneficiary families benefit from the practice we carry out to reduce the need for institutional care and improve community-based care services." he said.

Minister Göktaş continued as follows:

“In the first phase, we conducted a survey on a total of 3 households benefiting from Home Care Assistance in 100 pilot provinces. By creating a care plan for approximately 600 disabled individuals in need of service, we identified the education and psycho-social support needs of the families. The households we determined were visited by teams consisting of different branches employed in each province within the scope of the project, and personal self-care of disabled individuals was provided by care personnel under the supervision of nurses. The education, counseling and psycho-social support services needed by family caregivers were provided by our nurses, psychologists and social workers. “Within the scope of the application we started last year, we served a total of 3 thousand 407 citizens in Adana, Ankara and Izmir.”

Minister Göktaş stated that with all these services, they contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of disabled individuals who live at home or with their families and said, “We offer information, consultancy and guidance services for families. We ensure that they take the right steps in dealing with their problems, reducing their feelings of burnout, and how to proceed with the care, rehabilitation and education of the disabled person they care for. As a result of the positive feedback we received from the individuals and their families we serve within the scope of the Home Care Support Application, we aim to expand this service model throughout the country. Thus, we will contribute to our policy of becoming a 'strong family, strong society' by socially supporting and strengthening the families we support with the Home Care Assistance payment.” he said.
