The new term municipal council meeting, chaired by Düzce Mayor Faruk Özlü, continued with the opening speeches after a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem.
Murat Ayyıldız, Özlem Kapoğlu and Burak Coşkun were elected to the municipal council.
COMMISSION MEMBERS HAVE BEEN ELECTED
Mustafa Tok, Ahmet Biriktir and Mine Met from the AK Party, Hatice Saral from the Re-Welfare Party, and Emre Güleç from the CHP were elected to the 5-person Plan Budget Commission. Nurullah Yıldız, Erkan Özkasap, Muhammet Oğuzhan Çelebi from the AK Party, and Vedat Nair from the Re-Welfare Party were appointed to the 4-member Zoning Commission. Fahrettin Yılmaz, Ayşe Nimet Özer and Selma Kurt from the AK Party, and İbrahim İbrahimoğlu from the Re-Welfare Party were elected as members of the 4-Year Zoning Commission, which consists of 5 members. While Mehmet Saygun was elected as a principal member of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), Ahmet Özdemir was elected as an alternate member.
While Hasan Günden and Fahrettin Yılmaz were elected as full members of the Western Black Sea Development Union (BAKAB), Dilale Seyyar and Özlem Kapoğlu became substitute members.
Meanwhile, Ali Dilber was elected as a full member and Selma Kurt was elected as a substitute member of Düzce Province Solid Waste Association (DIKAB). It was decided that other issues on the agenda would be discussed and decided and the next meeting would be held on Monday, May 6, at 18.00.
