Firefighters in Samsun are getting stronger with technology

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality continues to strengthen the technical infrastructure of the Fire Department in order to respond more quickly and effectively to possible incidents. In addition to the new equipment purchased to carry out search and rescue operations more effectively and powerfully in natural disasters, 25 tablets have now been procured. The tablet used in fire trucks aims to determine the routes and road conditions more quickly, allowing teams to reach the scene and intervene faster.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department carried out an important study in order to respond to incidents quickly and effectively and to work in a more coordinated manner with the 112 Emergency Call Center. In addition to the new equipment purchased to carry out search and rescue efforts more effectively and powerfully in natural disasters, 25 tablets have now been procured. Reports coming to the 112 Emergency Call Center will now be delivered simultaneously to the fire brigade's tablets. In this way, teams will be able to follow the process from the moment the report is made until the end of the incident via tablets. By providing faster coordination with the tablets used, it is aimed for fire brigades to respond to emergencies more quickly and effectively by quickly determining the routes and road conditions with the navigation system.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan stated that Samsun Fire Department is one of the strongest fire departments in Turkey with its experienced personnel and technical equipment and said, “The technical equipment and technological infrastructure of our Samsun Fire Department has become stronger. We attach great importance to the inclusion of the latest technology devices in the working system of our Fire Department. Thanks to the navigation systems in the 25 tablets that are in use, our teams will now be able to reach the scene faster and more accurately. In this way, the intervention time will be shortened and possible risks will be minimized. "Our Fire Department has the power to respond to any possible incident as quickly as possible at any time," he said.
