Stating that there has been an increase of approximately 125 percent in passenger and 90 percent vehicle exit at the border gates since the beginning of the holiday, compared to normal days, Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer said that 127 thousand passengers have exited the borders, especially since the beginning of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Governor Sezer noted that 780 personnel and 240 vehicles were working throughout the province within the scope of the holiday measures.
Stating that there has been a 3-fold increase compared to normal days, Governor Sezer said, “There is also a 30 thousand vehicle exit. This is again approximately 3 times the vehicle traffic compared to normal days. "Our police, gendarmerie, security units, Coast Guard teams are all currently on duty due to holiday measures," he said.
