Cartoon Festival Begins in Izmir!

The 3rd Izmir International Portrait Cartoon Festival, organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, brings together many international artists with the people of Izmir. Exhibitions consisting of the artists' works will meet art lovers at Alsancak Vasıf Çınar Square and Konak Metro Art Gallery between 25 April and 19 May.

Izmir International Portrait Cartoon Festival, which will be held for the third time this year, hosts 25 artists from 28 countries between 9-17 April. The festival, curated by Menekşe Çam, was attended by Jasper Vandecruys from Belgium, Christopher Knapman and George Williams from the United Kingdom, Silvia Radulova and Zlati Krumov from Bulgaria, Philippe Moine and Romain Guyot from France, Niko Kemularia (KEMO) from Georgia, Ivan Sabolic and Kresimir Kvestek from Croatia, Mustafa Tozakı from TRNC, Adrian Bighei from Romania, Burak Akerdem, Cemil Ayana, Turan İyigün and Zeynep Gargi from Turkey will attend.

A memorial wall will be created at Fahrettin Altay Metro Station

Exhibitions of artists' works within the scope of the festival will meet art lovers at Alsancak Vasıf Çınar Square and Konak Metro Art Gallery between 25 April and 19 May. While hundreds of free cartoons were drawn in event areas set up in many parts of the city on April 25 and 26, all artists will meet at Fahrettin Altay Metro Station on April 27 to create a memory wall consisting of fun drawings.
