80 Percent of Rental Disputes Turn into Lawsuits

In Turkey, especially in recent years, homeowners and tenants began to confront each other in the courts, as the lack of supply in housing and the rapid rise in inflation caused rental prices to increase exponentially. The increasing number of cases due to this dispute led to serious congestion in the courts.

In order for the cases to be resolved much faster and to accelerate the bureaucratic process, it was required to first apply to a mediator for rent cases to be filed as of September 1, 2023.
