Yıldırım Municipality organized a special Artistic Gymnastics Competition for April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. 7 athletes in the 10-180 age group participated in the tournament held at Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Complex. In the competition where young athletes had the opportunity to showcase their artistic gymnastics skills, the little gymnasts successfully completed the challenging routines after months of training and showed an excellent performance. Medals were presented to the athletes participating in the competition.
GYMNASTICS EDUCATION FOR 24 THOUSAND CHILDREN
Congratulating the children who participated in the competition, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz stated that they provide gymnastics training to children in the 6-3 age group 9 days a week at Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Complex. Stating that they set out with the slogan '365 Days Sports Schools', President Oktay Yılmaz said, "Thanks to the gymnastics course, which is extremely important for the physical development of children, children strengthen their muscle-bone structures, learn to use their bodies more consciously, and prevent posture disorders. Children also gain balance, strength, agility, flexibility, hand-eye coordination, nerve-muscle coordination and the ability to use their bodies consciously during the training periods. In addition to basic gymnastics training, we have implemented Baby Cim training to help our little ones, who were away from the social environment during the pandemic, get rid of the negative energy they accumulated at home, strengthen their communication with their peers, and help them realize that they can do something independent of their mothers. We enable our children to have a fun introduction to social life with the gymnastics training we provide at Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Complex. "We have provided gymnastics training to 2019 thousand athletes since 24," he said.
