The Aegean Mineral Exporters Association, Turkey's leading exporter association in natural stone exports, joined forces with the Istanbul Mineral Exporters Association and the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association in the "MARBLE Buying Delegation Organization".
NATURAL STONE INDUSTRY AIMS TO EXPORT 2 BILLION 250 MILLION DOLLARS
Stating that they aim to export 2024 billion 2 million dollars in 250 as the Turkish natural stone industry, İbrahim Alimoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Mineral Exporters Association, said that they carried out marketing activities at a very intense pace in order to reach the 2024 target and heal the wounds of 2023, and that İzmir, which is the holiday of the Turkish natural stone industry, He stated that they are working to bring together 19 importers from 40 countries with hundreds of Turkish natural stone exporters to ensure that the MARBLE Fair is maximum efficient.
EMİB President Alimoğlu said, “Turkey's natural stone exports were 77 million dollars in the first year when the Izmir MARBLE Fair was held,” and added, “Over the years, the Turkish natural stone industry could not fit into Izmir Kültüpark. In order to host the Turkish natural stone industry in 2015, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality brought FuarIzmir, Turkey's largest and most modern fairground with an area of 330 thousand square meters, to Izmir. The fair, which broke the record in 2023 and was held with 150 participants in an exhibition area exceeding 15 thousand square meters, was visited by a total of 148 people from 9 countries, 56 of whom were foreigners. Fuarİzmir provides 79 million dollars of added value to İzmir's city economy. We aim for our recruitment committee to experience the excitement of the second holiday of the Izmir MARBLE Fair, which will be held after the Ramadan Feast. "We invite our Turkish natural stone exporting companies to join our purchasing delegation," he said.
The Aegean Mineral Exporters Association will provide pre-financing in proportion to the support amount to participating companies in the "Buyers Committee Organization" supported by the Ministry of Commerce. The fee to participate in the recruitment committee was determined as 250 USD.
