Stating that Muğla has provided very important services in agriculture after it became a Metropolitan Municipality, Muğla Agricultural Cooperation Business Cooperative President Fatih Öztürk stated that they paid a thank you visit to the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Osman Gürün for all these services and contributions to Muğla. Fatih Öztürk; “Muğla has made a great breakthrough in agriculture with our Metropolitan Municipality. Great services have been provided in agricultural production in the last 10 years, from Turkey's most comprehensive local seed center to agriculture and food analysis laboratories, from fruit and vegetable drying facilities to trial gardens, and most importantly, by bringing production cooperatives under one roof. For example, with our Agricultural Collaboration, the green pickle produced in the fertile lands of Muğla was sold to Switzerland, England, Germany and France, and 3 tons of tahini from Dalaman local sesame seeds were sold to Spain, France and Korea. All these services were achieved with the support of our producers and their trust in cooperatives, that is, with the support of our Metropolitan Municipality. Today, together with our cooperative presidents, we paid a farewell visit to our Metropolitan Mayor. “We would like to thank our president Osman for all the services he has provided to Muğla so far and his great contributions to the field of agriculture.”

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. said that they have always stated that Muğla is an agricultural city with its fertile soil and dominant products. Osman Gürün stated that they know that the hope of the future in agriculture is in these lands and thanked the cooperative presidents for their visit.
President Gürün; “When we became a metropolitan city in 2014, we told our producers, "Don't sell your land, sell your product" because Muğla is a very important agricultural city with its fertile soil. Then, we implemented our projects for agriculture one by one. By analyzing our soil, we established the Soil Analysis laboratory so that our producers know which products to grow and how to get more efficiency, and the most comprehensive local seed center of our country for our ancestral seeds. In other words, we built the infrastructure in agricultural production. We have increased the production in our fertile lands with sapling support, forage support, the projects we prepared especially for our women to participate in production, scent valley, guaranteed production, hair goat, sericulture support and many other projects. One of our most important projects was to gather our cooperatives under one roof. We established our Union of Powers so that our producers get more compensation for their labor and trust in cooperatives. Now we are happy and proud that the products we produce in Muğla are sold to the world market and our manufacturer wins. “I would like to thank our cooperative presidents, who are the greatest power of agricultural production, for their companionship and visits in this process.” said.
