After the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, which caused destruction in 10 provinces, the importance of the city ready for disaster was seen once. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which heals its wounds after the earthquake in 1999 and works for a disaster-ready city, brings the Disaster Kitchen (Food Production Facility) to the city.
COOKING, PACKAGING AND SHIPMENT
Work continues on the Disaster Kitchen (Food Production Facility Project), designed by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in Başiskele to provide service to the Marmara region in a possible disaster. At the end of the intensive work of the teams in the Food Production Facility project, the foundation of which was laid on September 19, the reinforced concrete production of the building was completed. Wall and plaster production of the Food Production Facility continues. In the Food Production Facility, which is planned to be completed in 420 days, a production facility with a closed area of 5 thousand 300 square meters is planned. The project will include dry and cold storage areas, food preparation, cooking, packaging and shipping sections.
