Tavsantepe - Sabiha Gokcen Airport Metro, which was put into service, Kadıköy – It is a continuation of Tavşantepe Metro and is operated by Metro Istanbul, a subsidiary of IMM. In 2018, the entire cost of the line, which was transferred to the Ministry by the Presidency decision by the previous IMM Administration, will be covered by IMM. The cost of approximately 4,5 billion TL will be paid to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance within 150 years, with an average monthly 2,5 million TL.

Tavsantepe – Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro Line with 4 stations, 7,3 km, put into service, M4 Kadıköy – It is a continuation of Tavşantepe Metro and started to be operated by Metro Istanbul, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). Like this Kadıköy – Sabiha Gökçen Airport Subway has become the longest subway in Istanbul with 23 stations and a length of 33,5 kilometers. With the opening, KadıköyDirect metro services from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Sabiha Gökçen Airport have also started.

HOW DID THE PROCESS WORK?

In the Presidential Decision taken in 2015 regarding the Tavşantepe – Sabiha Gökçen Metro, the construction of which was started in 2018, “the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure was authorized to take over, complete and then transfer the construction works to IMM for operation”. The decision of the IMM Assembly regarding the transfer has not been taken.

Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM); He received the project, which was completed in August 2022, from the contractor company. With the report signed between AYGM and İBB on 29.09.2022, the operation of the line was transferred to Metro İstanbul Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a subsidiary of İBB.

TEST DRIVES WERE COMMON

Tavsantepe - Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro, whose test drives and integration studies were completed with the joint venture of the Ministry and IMM, Kadıköy – It started to serve with the existing wagons of Tavşantepe Metro. All personnel and operating expenses on the new line are covered by IMM.

PAYMENTS WILL BE DUE DIRECTLY FROM IMM's SHARE

The provision "2010 percent of this revenue is transferred to the accounts of the Undersecretariat of Treasury in periods to be determined together with the Undersecretariat of the Treasury and the municipalities" adopted in the Council of Ministers Decision taken in 15, with the President's Decision published on 01.05.2019. It is paid by transferring the 5 percent deduction to the relevant account by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance”.

According to this changed legislation; All the cost spent for the construction of the project, regardless of the metro revenue and including the price difference, will be deducted monthly from the share to be allocated to IMM over the total of Istanbul's general budget tax revenues collection. Considering the average share of IMM from tax revenues, the amount of deduction to be made in approximately 2019 years as 15 percent of ticket revenues before 3 will be made every month at the moment.

The construction cost of Tavşantepe – Sabiha Gökçen Metro, amounting to approximately 4,5 billion TL, will be paid to the Ministry of Treasury and Finance within 150 years, with an average monthly 2,5 million TL.

PAYMENT OF RUMELİ HİSARI METRO IS OVER

In the Levent-Rumeli Hisarüstü Metro, which was built by the Ministry and transferred to IMM to be operated in May 2016; While the monthly average of 2016 thousand TL – 2019 thousand TL and a total of 80 million 110 thousand 3 TL for 3 years were made between 73-633, in 2019, with monthly 40-60 million TL deductions, a total of 7 million 325 thousand 826 TL (monthly) in 879 months. 36 times more payment) was collected and the entire project debt was paid.
