Bitlis Ring Road, which will reduce the urban traffic density and provide fast, safe and comfortable transportation in Bitlis, was put into service on Tuesday, October 25 with the participation of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, General Manager of Highways Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, deputies, public institutions and representatives of contractor companies. .

Minister Karaismailoğlu, who said that they started to work to give a sigh of relief to the urban traffic of Bitlis, said, "We built the 11-kilometer ring road, we have further developed the rapidly developing Bitlis ring road network with the 9-kilometer section we put into service." said.

“12 minutes travel time reduced to 4 minutes”

Expressing that with the Ring Road, which was established to relieve the traffic in the city of Bitlis, they took the transit highway traffic from Şanlıurfa and Diyarbakır to the southwest and Van and the border gates to the east, out of the city, Karaismailoğlu said, “Thanks to the Bitlis Entrance Junction within the scope of the project, we have ensured the connection of our ring road to both the city center. as well as with the existing ring road.” said. Our Minister added that the project is 6 kilometers in total, including 3 kilometers of ring road, 156 kilometers of Bitlis Entrance Junction, 9 meters of Sarik Bridge.

Karaismailoğlu said that thanks to the ring road opened for service, the travel time of 12 minutes on the line was reduced to 4 minutes; He also underlined that they will save a total of 27,5 million liras in one year, 1,5 million liras from time and 29 million liras from fuel oil.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Manager Uraloğlu stated that the Bitlis Ring Road network was increased in order to relieve the traffic density in the city center.

Uraloğlu, who said that the Bitlis Entrance Junction, built within the scope of the 2×2 lane divided road standard ring road with bituminous hot mix pavement, provides a connection to the existing ring road and the city center, added that the project also includes the 156 m long Sarik Bridge.

The General Manager gave technical information about the project, 973 thousand m³ of earthwork, 38 thousand m³ of concrete, 82 thousand m³ of stone walls, 3.220 tons of iron, 165 thousand tons of plantmix foundation and sub-base, 96 thousand tons of bituminous hot mix, 4 thousand 700 m2 horizontal and vertical marking, 3.200 m guardrail was manufactured.
