OLD General Directorate and Metropolitan Municipality Fairy Tale Castle Children's Club explained the general principles of water saving and the importance of the Porsuk river to the children.

Children in the age group of 10-12 showed great interest in the “My Footprint in Porsuk” event organized in cooperation with Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality General Directorate of Water and Sewerage Administration (ESKİ) and Fairy Tale Castle Children's Club. Correct usage methods were mentioned.

Children participating in the event expressed their regret that the Porsuk River, which provides drinking and utility water in Eskişehir, is excessively polluted by adults, and that the Porsuk River is accepted as a living entity, like the Whanganui River in New Zealand, and that the people living in the city use the Porsuk River. They stated that they should fight to protect their rights.

In the event, where the water footprint was also explained, the children promised that they would use water sparingly and fight to protect the rights of the Porsuk River.

The children who participated in the event, which will continue in the upcoming period, were presented with the book “Atatürk and Child” written by the writer Hanri Benazus.
