Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu visited Arhavi, which was affected by the flood. After the examinations of Minister Karaismailoğlu, Minister Soylu and AK Party Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, a coordination and evaluation meeting regarding the flood disaster was held at Arhavi Youth Center. After the coordination and evaluation meeting, Minister Karaismailoğlu made a statement to the journalists about the latest situation in the region.

 “There is an extraordinary mobilization here”

Minister Karaismailoğlu conveyed his wishes of “get well soon” to the citizens affected by the flood. Emphasizing that an extraordinary work has been done in the region, Karaismailoğlu said, “Our state is on the case with all its institutions. There is an extraordinary mobilization here. Hopefully, all our institutions are working hard to remove the traces of this disaster as soon as possible.”

Talking about the works on transportation, Karaismailoğlu said, “We only have a problem on the Arhavi-Ortaca road in terms of transportation. Our friends also work there. We have problems in 30 of 8 village roads. As of tomorrow, we will open all of them,” he said.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that there is no problem in mobile lines in terms of communication, and that there is a partial problem in fixed lines, and said:

“Our mobile stations are also kept in the region as backup. Hopefully, our state and all its institutions and all our friends are making an extraordinary effort to remove the traces of this disaster as soon as possible. As always, we are working in mobilization to overcome this incident in a short time and return our citizens to their former, pre-disaster situation as soon as possible. We are glad that there were no casualties. Our state will eliminate all other negative effects as soon as possible. May all our citizens rest in peace. I hope we will not leave until these places go back to their old ways.”
