Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, while announcing that KOSGEB will launch an emergency support loan program for Edirne tradesmen who were affected by the flood, said, "As a ministry, we will give our support to get their workplaces up and running."
KOSGEB's zero-interest emergency support program up to TL 100 thousand will have a term of 36 months. Businesses damaged by flooding and documented by official authorities will benefit from the program.

Industry and Technology Minister Varank visited the shopkeepers whose workplaces were damaged in the flood after the heavy rain in Edirne. Minister Varank, who met with the tradesmen on Zübeyde Hanım Street, conveyed his wishes of "get well soon". Varank listened to the demands while examining the workplaces. Giving the message to the tradesmen that the state will heal the wounds, Varank said that their problems will be resolved.
During his visit, Minister Varank was accompanied by Edirne Governor Ekrem Canalp, AK Party Edirne Deputy Fatma Aksal and AK Party Edine Provincial President Belgin Iba.
THERE IS A LACK OF INFRASTRUCTURE
In a statement to reporters after his investigations, Varank said that Edirne had survived a great disaster and that it was the greatest consolation that there was no loss of life. Underlining that the infrastructure problem brings with it damages, Varank said, “Materials are unusable in most workplaces. There is a huge lack of infrastructure here.” said.

Varank stated that the Edirne Governorship has carried out the necessary damage assessment studies and that they are with the tradesmen who have been damaged. Stating that interest-free emergency support loans will be given to the tradesmen who were damaged by the flood, Varank said:

Our governor is making all the determinations. We are working on the damage to our homes as well as the damage to our shopkeepers. We, as a ministry, will support our tradesmen here with KOSGEB, by making an emergency support loan and an interest-free reinforcement, so that they can get their workplaces up and running as soon as possible.
YEARS OF NEGLIGENCE
As soon as the detections are over, we will put them into action. May God not show such disasters, but the infrastructure problems here must be resolved as soon as possible. It is a neglected problem not only today but for years. The problems here must be recovered as soon as possible and a healthier and safer environment must be created here. KOSGEB EMERGENCY SUPPORT LOAN
KOSGEB will launch an emergency support loan program in order to heal the wounds of the flooding in Edirne. Enterprises damaged by flooding and documented by the governor's office will benefit from the program with an upper limit of 100 thousand TL. The program, which will facilitate the access of tradesmen to finance, will have a term of 36 months. Businesses that will benefit from the loan will not repay the first 12 months. In the next 24 months, the payments will be made in 3-month installments. The program will be implemented with zero interest, all of the interest will be covered by KOSGEB.
