German Railways (DB) Open to Asian Market

For future joint projects in the rail transport sector between the German Railways and the Georgian Railway company, 12 signed an agreement in Berlin on June. The agreement aims to strengthen the European - Asian transport corridor and increase Deutsche Bahn's share in the Asian Logistics market.

As part of the agreement, the WB will establish a subsidiary to carry out the organization of railway freight transport within the EU and will be responsible for the transport in this corridor.

The Georgian Railways is responsible for the Middle East and India corridor and will be responsible for intermodal transportation and transport of cargo from Constanta to Georgia and Azerbaijan and to East Asia through the Caspian Sea.

Currently, the biggest venture from European railway transportation, DB, continues its growth by opening to the Asian market. It is clear that the DB will be a pioneer in the field of railway freight transport in Europe in the following years with the knowledge, experience, vehicle park and trained staff.
