Test runs at Ankara-Istanbul YHT line continue at full speed

Ankara-Istanbul YHT line in the final sprint test drive continues: Turkey State Railways (TCDD) Deputy General Manager İsa ApaydınStating that traffic tests will start in Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train (YHT) line as well as operational tests, "I hope that after these tests are completed, we will begin to carry passengers when the parameters at all points are brought into standards".
Ankara-Istanbul travel time between Ankara and Istanbul will be reduced to the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line project is nearing the end. Anadolu Agency, even from the beginning of March, continued the continuous test drive.
TCDD Deputy Director General Apaydin, Piri Reis train even with tests carried out in a statement to the AA correspondent, while driving, he said Turkey's most important high-speed train project of the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line.
Apaydin, who previously reminded that Ankara-Eskişehir YHT line opened and started operating, said:
“Construction works have been completed between Eskişehir and Pendik. We have started the regional tests since March and now our uninterrupted tests and certification processes continue. Our line between Eskişehir and Istanbul is 266 kilometers long. Piri Reis tests and measures the line throughout the test train construction and certification process. Piri Reis is a train that measures and evaluates nearly 250 test parameters. If there is a non-standard measurement along the Eskişehir-Pendik corridor during the tests, we remove them locally.
The tests are carried out gradually in the form of 60, 80, 100, 120 kilometers, to the maximum speeds allowed by the enterprise. In this line, the maximum operating speed will be 250 kilometers, we conduct the tests according to the speed of 275 kilometers per hour. After these, besides the business tests, our signalization tests, which we call traffic tests, start. After completing these tests, we will start to carry passengers when the parameters at all points for the trips are brought into standards. ”
- Prime Minister Erdogan made YHT test drive while talking
On the other hand, the Istanbul-Bursa-Izmir Highway Izmit Bay Bridge Pillar Keson Immersion Ceremony in Dilovasi, attended by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was held right next to the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line. The measurement tests of the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line are carried out with the Piri Reis Train, one of the 5-6 test trains in the world. Piri Reis performs catenary-pantograph interaction, accelerometric vibration measurement and road geometry measurements starting from 60 kilometers per hour. Then, the measurements, which continue at a speed of 80, 100, 120, 140 kilometers per hour, are completed by reaching a speed of 275 kilometers per hour. Thanks to the measurements, problems in the line are detected and eliminated. In other words, the Piri Reis Train pulls the "MR" of the line.
35 million pounds of YHT on the set of 14 million liras additional spending on the measurement devices installed Piri Reis, 50 can do different measurements.
