All Aspects of Solar Energy were Discussed in Bursa

The Solar Energy and Energy Storage Seminar series, organized in partnership with the Solar Energy Industrialists and Industry Association, Bursa Industrialists and Businessmen Association and Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone Businessmen Association, was held yesterday at BUTEKOM Meeting Hall in DOSAB. Speaking at the opening of the seminar, GENSED Chairman of the Board of Directors Tolga Murat Özdemir noted that there was a period when the transformation from fossil fuels to renewable energy was discussed.

Özdemir stated that countries are now shaping their future and economies according to transformation, and said, "It is correct to call this green energy transformation." Özdemir said that while 400 thousand megawatt solar energy systems were installed in the world last year, this figure remained at 2 thousand megawatts in Turkey. Özdemir said, “There is will, there is agreement. It is necessary to support this with legislation. Our biggest problem is access to finance and capacity. Renewable energy is directly proportional to economic development. "And if you have money, you can do it fast," he said.

Speaking after Özdemir, BUSİAD Energy Expertise Group President İsmail Önol said that there was no time to waste and that renewable energy should be switched immediately to stop global warming. Önol said, “This is a learning process. "Beyond the claim of switching an entire facility to renewable energy, we can also start with local work," he said.

Following the opening speeches, a seminar was held where the developments in solar energy and storage were explained.
