This Solar System Will Provide Annual Savings of 20 Million TL in Kütahya

Solar Power Plant, which will save 20 million liras annually, was put into service in Kütahya.

Speaking at the opening, Kütahya Mayor Alim Işık said that they were honored and happy to bring the 111th work to the city, which is believed to serve our Kütahya for years.

Continuing its renewable energy investments with a productive municipality approach, Kütahya Municipality has completed its new 750 megawatt Solar Power Plant in addition to the existing 2.5 kW capacity Solar Power Plant. With the Solar Power Plant built on the old garbage dump site in Akkent District, 20 million Turkish Liras will be saved annually.

Prof. pointed out that there are 55 thousand 5 panels, 886 inverters with 22 kilowatt electrical power and 110 inverters with 2 kilowatt electrical power in the new Solar Power Plant built on an area of 60 thousand square meters. Dr. Alim Işık said, “Our facility, which will produce equivalent to nearly 2 million tons of carbon emissions annually, will produce 5 million kilowatt-hours of energy. As is customary, we are at the opening program on an auspicious Friday to bring a very beneficial investment to our city. I would like to thank each and every one of you for your participation. This work of ours is our 5th work, of which we have made the opening program, out of the 240 projects we have brought to Kütahya in the past 111 years, that is, it is a permanent work. Other social aid and other projects are included in other projects. We are honored and happy to bring our 111th work to our city, which we believe will serve Kütahya for years. "I wish good luck and good luck to our city and the beautiful people of our city, our valuable citizens," he said.

Stating that new projects will be brought to our city with the 20 million liras that will be saved thanks to the Solar Power Plant, Mayor Işık stated that they are offset with the energy consumed in return for the energy they give to the system, and said, "We will pay 20 million liras less. Therefore, we will bring new projects to this city with the 20 million liras increased from there. Our facility, which was established in the area we are located on, was built on an area of approximately 55 thousand square meters. Our facility has 5 thousand 886 panels, 22 inverters with 110 kilowatts of electrical power, and 2 inverters with 60 kilowatts of electrical power. Our facility, which is in production, produces approximately 5 million kilowatt-hours of energy annually and amortizes itself in approximately 3,5 years. So, after 3 years, we will have eliminated this cost. "After that, we will continue to save around 20 million liras at this year's prices," he said.
