ANOTHER IMPORTANT STEP IN THE RESISTANT CITY YILDIRIM

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki said, “We are taking another step towards making our country earthquake resistant. Another phase of our 499-stage urban transformation project in an area of 8 hectares covering Yavuzselim, Arabayatağı, Ulus, Çınarönü, Hacivat and Şirinevler neighborhoods in Yıldırım district has been completed. In the 7th Stage, which was the first application area, a total of 644 independent sections, including 177 residences and 821 shops, were built by TOKİ. Today, we are handing over the keys of 154 flats to their rightful owners. We will use the other residences in the transformation of the 8th stage. We work non-stop and without rest. On the one hand, we are reviving our earthquake zone. On the other hand, we are transforming risky structures, as in Yıldırım, and making our country ready for an earthquake. With God's permission, we will reach this goal as soon as possible. Our goal is not a one-day or two-day goal. A hundred-year, thousand-year goal. I invite all our citizens to measure the earthquake performance of their homes. Let's complete the urban transformation of our country together. Let's prepare our country for the earthquake danger. Let's not experience the pain of the Marmara Earthquake and the February 6 Earthquakes again. It is possible to prevent this. Remember, it's not an earthquake; risky building takes lives. I hope that our residences will bring goodness to our citizens and Bursa. "As the Ministry, we will provide the necessary support to the urban transformation goals of our President Alinur and Oktay," he said.

“WE WILL TRANSFORM 30 THOUSAND HOUSES”

Emphasizing that urban transformation is a necessity rather than a choice for Yıldırım, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz said, “Urban transformation is the only way to eliminate the problems brought about by the ongoing unplanned growth and unplanned construction in Yıldırım. In the process that has been going on for years, we have to create safe residences, living spaces with high living standards, a developed transportation network, and supported by common areas in our regions that are unsafe, have inadequate social areas, and inadequate transportation axes. First of all, we have to do this considering the seismicity of our country and our city. There are urban transformation projects we carry out in Çınarönü, Mimarsinan, Ulus and Davutkadı Neighborhoods. There are transformation works carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality in our region after the zoning plan applications we carried out. With the support we provide to the private sector, floors are rising rapidly at 9 points. We currently have 5 urban transformation projects in progress and 4 transformation projects for which we will support the private sector in the coming period. "Our goal is to transform 5 thousand houses in the next 30 years with the new moves we will initiate and to bring our citizens under this safe umbrella," he said.

OUR PEOPLE WILL BE HAPPY

Stating that they are happy to hand over the keys to the rightful owners in Mevlana, one of the most important urban transformation areas of Yıldırım, Mayor Yılmaz said, “In the Mevlana 7th Stage, with a construction area of 112 thousand 949 square meters, the rightful owners are within the scope of our project, which we realized with 100 percent agreement. There are 644 residences, 177 workplaces, 18 thousand 261 square meters of indoor parking, 941 square meters of walking area, 3 thousand 852 square meters of walking path, 3 thousand 148 square meters of social facility area, 180 square meters of children's area and 125 square meters of fitness area. With our project, we not only provide safe housing for our people, but also create living spaces with high living standards where they will enjoy living. "I hope our project will be beneficial," he said.

“WE THINK BIG AND TRANSFORM BIG FOR YILDIRIM”

Stating that they demolished the old buildings in Mevlana District that were unhealthy, earthquake-resistant, did not receive engineering services and were deprived of social reinforcement areas, Mayor Yılmaz said, “Instead of these, we are establishing a new living space that is earthquake-resistant, has a healthy infrastructure and social reinforcement areas. In Mevlana, where we have completed 90 percent of the work, today we are bringing the beneficiaries of the first stage to their homes. Mevlana in Stage 7; We provided a 100 percent volunteer basis with our fellow citizens. We sat down and met with all the rights holders and agreed. We did not use reserve area in this project. We built new ones to replace the buildings we completely demolished. We provided rent and natural gas support in order not to victimize our fellow citizens in this process. The model we put forward in Mevlana District was very popular. Now, as this place rises, demands come from our citizens in the surrounding regions. Our citizens who see the right model volunteer for urban transformation. Currently, our citizens in the 7th stage, which is right next to the 8th stage, have intense demand for urban transformation. We are currently faced with a 90 percent demand there. Hopefully, we will start working in that region as well. Once again, I wish the owners of the houses to whom we handed over the keys in the first phase of the 7th Stage Project in Mevlana, the best of luck in their new homes. May God grant all of you the opportunity to live in these houses with pleasure, peace of mind and good health. Hopefully, we will deliver the remaining flats to the rightful owners as of April and May. "We think big and transform big for Yıldırım," he said. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said, “We have dreams and excitement for Bursa. We have a goal to solve the urban problems that arise in parallel with the rapid growth in Bursa. We said 100 thousand houses this term, and Yıldırım Municipality will produce 30 thousand houses. Urban transformation is hard work. We are negotiating for the urban transformation works we will carry out in our city. "Hopefully, we will make Yıldırım a more livable city by increasing the number of urban transformations with a great consensus," he said. The program ended with the delivery of keys to the beneficiaries.
