GERMANY'S APPAREL IMPORTS DECREASED BY 11,5 PERCENT
Burak Sertbaş, Member of the Sectors Council of the Turkish Exporters Assembly and President of the Aegean Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters Association, pointed out that the decline in Turkey's apparel exports and the decline in Germany's apparel product imports are compatible with each other. Sertbaş said, “While Germany imported ready-made clothing products worth 2022 billion dollars in 52, its imports in 2023 decreased to 11,5 billion dollars with a contraction of 46 percent. "Our goal is to maintain our position in the German market despite the contraction, and for this purpose, we will present our 3 spring-summer collections to the buyers of retail chains for 2025 days at the Munich Fabric Start the Source Fair," he said.
Sharing the information that the Turkish ready-made clothing industry is the third most exporting sector with an export performance of 2023 billion 19 million dollars despite all the negative conditions in 253, Sertbaş said that the recession in the world economy will end, the wars will end, high inflation in Turkey will be taken under control and the pressure on the exchange rates will be lifted. Germany is our largest export market both in Turkey and in the Aegean Region. We are the third largest supplier in Germany's apparel imports. Aegean Ready-made Clothing and Apparel Exporters Association will continue its marketing activities with the PV Paris Fair to be held in France in February. EHKİB will organize the Turkey National Participation Organization with 26 companies at the PV Paris Fair.
