AK Party Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the mayoral candidates of 11 metropolitan cities and 15 provinces, including Bursa, in Istanbul, at the candidate introduction meeting held at the Istanbul Haliç Congress Center.
After announcing Aktaş's name, President Erdoğan invited the Bursa Provincial Mayor and his administration, headed by Davut Gürkan, and Bursa Members of Parliament to the stage and raised their hands.

After President Erdoğan's candidacy announcement, Mayor Aktaş shared his message on his social media account, saying "Bursa again, AK Party again" and continuing with all his heart for Bursa with the love of service on the first day.

In the announcement made by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, it was announced that a special welcome program will be organized for the Mayor and presidential candidate Alinur Aktaş.
It was planned to meet in front of Otoban Gemlik Oxygen Facilities at 19.00 and to meet at the Merinos Atatürk Congress Cultural Center Foyer Area at 20.00. All citizens were invited to the "Bursa Welcomes the President" event.
WHO IS ALİNUR AKTAŞ?
Aktaş was born in 1970, Bursa / İnegöl; After primary, secondary and high school education, he graduated from Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Aktaş, who completed his master's degree at Kütahya Dumlupınar University Graduate Education Institute, Department of Public Administration, is an Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor.
After working as a senior manager in the furniture industry for many years, he started commercial life with the furniture company he founded with his partners. He continues his active trade in his company operating in the field of construction-building materials.
He started his political life as a Founding Board Member of the AK Party in 2002, and was subsequently elected Mayor of İnegöl in the local elections in 2004. Aktaş, who successfully served as Mayor for 3 terms with his vision projects in economy, trade, tourism, industry, education, sports, infrastructure and superstructure works and the target of a brand city, was elected 'Mayor of the Year' many times with the projects he carried out in different fields.
He was appointed as the Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in the extraordinary session held in the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Council on 02 November 2017, and was elected as the Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality in the local elections of 31 March 2019. Alinur Aktaş is also the President of Bursa Tourism Promotion Association and Türkiye Healthy Cities Association.
Aktaş, who speaks English and Arabic, is married and has two children.
