MASKI Protects the Budget with the Power Plants It Establishes

The first council meeting of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality in 2024 was held under the chairmanship of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mehmet Güzgülü. Güzgülü gave information to the council members about the work of the Metropolitan Municipality and MASKI General Directorate at the meeting.

Emphasizing that investments continue rapidly throughout the province, Güzgülü touched upon the 120 Million TL investment made by MASKİ General Directorate in providing sufficient drinking water to the Kula district.

Güzgülü stated that within the scope of the investment, the laying of a 20-kilometer drinking water promotion line and the construction of a 5 thousand-ton drinking water tank were completed, and lastly, a solar energy panel was installed on the tank. Stating that some of the electricity expenses of drinking water pumps will be covered from here, Güzgülü said that over 8 million TL of electricity has been produced with the 35 megawatt solar power plants established to date.

Emphasizing that both the environment and the budget are protected with renewable energy sources, Deputy Mayor Güzgülü reminded that within the scope of the 120 million TL investment in which they put an end to the drinking water shortage in Kula, 20 kilometers of steel drinking water promotion line was laid and a 5 thousand ton drinking water tank was built. Stating that they are now installing solar energy panels on the tank, Güzgülü said, “We will cover some of the electricity expenses of the drinking water pumps from here. I would also like to point out that we have produced over 8 million TL of electricity with the 35 megawatt solar power plants we have installed to date. "We protect both our environment and our budget with renewable energy sources," he said.
