Joining Forces to Increase Exports in Textile

At the info stand created at the fair, where approximately 280 Turkish companies took part; Uludağ Textile Exporters Association (UTİB), Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (İTHİB), Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (ETHİB), Southeastern Anatolia Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (GATHİB) and Mediterranean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Association (ATHİB) revealed.

The fair, held in Frankfurt, Germany, between 9 and 12 January 2024, brought together thousands of companies and professional visitors from around the world.

At the same time, Heimtextil, where the changes in the market are exhibited with its product range for interior, architecture, tourism, interior designers and accommodation experts, and themes focusing on mega trends such as sustainability and healthy sleep, is a huge platform where the most important trends, textile materials and textile designs are included.

Stating that the coming together of all stakeholders of Turkish textile exports created a different atmosphere at the fair, Pınar Taşdelen Engin, chairman of the board of directors of UTİB, noted that they offered all visitors the opportunity to touch the fabrics, examine all products from a single point and direct them to the stands of exporting companies by helping them in their selection decisions.

Stating that they once again presented the prestige and rich diversity of Turkish textile to global visitors, Taşdelen Engin said, “We are extremely pleased with the interest we have received. Heimtextil 2024 fair; "Although our exports decreased in 2023, it also gave hope for the future of our textile industry, which managed to protect existing markets," he said. Taşdelen Engin added that they aim for the exhibition, which we opened for the first time at the Hometex fair in Istanbul in 2023, to grow in the following years and turn into a material library of the sustainable textile ecosystem in Turkey.
