Traffic flow returns to normal on September 12

The second phase of the works will be completed in a week with intense overtime. Traffic flow in this area will return to its previous state on September 12, 2022, when schools will open. Thus, the manufacturing work, which is planned to be completed in two months according to the UKOME decision, will be completed in one month.

Work in the area had begun on August 14, 2022.

80% complete

On the Çiğli Tramway line, the foundation of which was laid in February last year, 80 percent of the manufacturing works were completed in a short time. After the completion of the tram line, which will consist of 11 kilometers and 14 stations, at the end of 2022, it is planned to start test drives. The line, which will start from the Cevreyolu Station, will be connected to Çiğli Ataşehir Neighborhood with a viaduct.

The tram line will serve the Ring Road Station, Ataşehir, Çiğli Ataşehir District, Çiğli İZBAN Station, Çiğli Regional Training Hospital, Ata Industrial Zone, Katip Çelebi University and Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone. Çiğli Tramway will make the region breathe, relieve traffic, and facilitate access to hospitals, universities and industry in the region.
