HOSPITALITY IN HOTEL COMFORT

In the program organized by the Disabled Services Unit of the Social Services Department, an outdoor swimming pool with an elevator system, restaurant and accommodation services will be offered to the disabled. In addition, information and awareness seminars and psycho-social support services will be provided. Within the scope of the project, priority will be given to the disabled and their families who have never seen Samsun and have never had the opportunity to take a vacation. Transportation will also be provided by municipal vehicles from the points determined in the districts. The municipality, which will host its guests in its social facilities in the comfort of a hotel, will also give them unforgettable moments with pool pleasure, city tours and evening entertainment.

ACCESSIBLE HOLIDAY

Stating that they will provide disabled individuals and their families with the opportunity to have a nice holiday for 4 days, Social Services Department Elderly and Disabled Services Branch Manager Emrah Baş said, “Today, it is not appropriate for disabled people to sit on the beach or go into the water everywhere. Thanks to the facilities here, they can use our pool very easily. We have apparatus in the pool for the disabled to swim comfortably. Thanks to the platforms, they will have a pleasant time by safely descending into the water. Our disabled individuals will have an unhindered holiday in our facilities.”

EVERYTHING FOR THEM

Stating that they are working day and night for Samsun to reach a healthier future, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir said that they care about projects that will contribute to disabled citizens taking a more active role in social life. Expressing that they are one of the exemplary municipalities of Turkey with their human-oriented services, Mayor Demir continued as follows by emphasizing the importance of the free service they provide to disabled citizens with the 'There is Life in This Camp' project:

“We host 34 people in each camp. We take them from their homes with our vehicles and deliver them to their homes after the camp. It is very important for our disabled people to meet with water for the rehabilitation of their physical condition. Because they cannot move easily on the beach with their disabled vehicles. Or individuals with special needs and their families are not very comfortable in public places. With this camp, we bring them together with water. We strive to provide all kinds of services that will make their lives easier.”
