'ArtAnkara Contemporary Art Fair', which was held for the eighth time this year, brought together art lovers and artists from the Capital city at the ATO Congresium. At the fair, which will be open until March 13, 2022, the works prepared by expert instructors in Ankara Metropolitan Municipality BELMEK courses and the stand where Ankara City Council hosts art events were presented to art lovers.

“Artankara 8th Contemporary Art Fair” brought together art lovers and artists from the Capital city this year at the ATO Congresium.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Özgün Özkan Yavuz, ATO President Gürsel Baran, ASO President Nurettin Özdebir, Ankara Deputy and Head of the Capital Ankara Assembly Nevzat Ceylan, Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department Ali Bozkurt, Head of Cultural and Natural Heritage Department Bekir Ödemiş, Ankara City Council The fair, attended by Chairman of the Executive Board Halil İbrahim Yılmaz, Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Ali Ayvazoğlu, Ankara City Council Castle Council President Şevket Bülend Yahnici and many art lovers, started with the opening concert of the Ankara City Philharmonic Orchestra Chamber Music Group.

BELMEK WORKS ON THE THEME OF 'CLIMATE CHANGE' ARE EXHIBITED

Handcrafted works prepared by expert instructors in BELMEK courses affiliated to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Department were showcased at the fair.

Belmek Art Teacher Fulya Çakır stated that they are happy that the residents of the Capital showed great interest in a total of 29 original works consisting of 2 ceramics, 9 mosaics and 4 paintings, which were prepared with the theme of 'Climate Change' by 15 expert instructors in a 28-month study, and said, “We, as an institution, solve the problem of climate and nature. we processed. A good opportunity to express ourselves. It will be a good exhibition for us”, while BELMEK Art Teacher Seher Demirci expressed her thoughts, “We determined the subject of climate and nature and participated. We wanted to express the troubles of the world. Here, our teachers wanted to work individually and convey their feelings and thoughts.”

In addition to the BELMEK stand, the art lovers who visited the stand of the Ankara City Council, which was colored with the 'myAnkaram' paintings of foreign and local young and child painters, shared their thoughts with the following words:

Murat Mantini: “It was a very good exhibition. I liked it. I find it very important both to encourage women and to display the artistic side of women.”

Vahide Gursel:"Very good. I liked it so much. There are studies conducted with different techniques and different disciplines. I love the fine arts.”

Fatma Akkus: “It was a very good exhibition.”

Ozlem Akalin: "I really like. My friend's work is also included in the exhibition. Overall it was a very good exhibition.”
The fair, which attracted great interest from the capital, will remain open until Sunday, March 13, 2022.
