Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Veysel Eroğlu, who came to Düzce for a series of opening and groundbreaking ceremonies, promised two new bridges to Düzce.
Veysel Eroğlu, Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs, and Faruk Özlü, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, came to Düzce to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the 159 facility, which will be held at the Düzce Municipality Cultural Center and has a total investment cost of 9 million TL. Firstly, Ministers Eroğlu and Özlü visited Düzce Governorate and shook hands one by one with the welcoming delegation. Düzce Deputy Ayşe Keşir and Mayor Dursun Ay also took part in the visit. Here, the Minister Eroğlu'na Düzce Mayor Dursun, mentioning the demands and needs of Dursun Ay, Aga neighborhood on the Asar Creek and Kocyazi neighborhood Beyciler-Metek TOKI connection paths wanted to make a bridge over the stream. Minister Eroğlu, who received information from President Ay about the issue, promised to make the two bridges as soon as possible.
Afterwards, the delegation who passed to Düzce Municipality Cultural Center held the groundbreaking ceremony of the total 8 project to be gained to Düzce by 1 General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) and 9 General Directorate of Forestry. Works including Çilimli Yenivakıf and Akçakoca Altunçay dams, 6 flood protection facility and afforestation and forestry projects to be built by DSİ will begin. 2 million 230 thousand cubic meters of water will be accumulated with the facilities laid in the information about the projects and 1 provincial center, 3 district center and 1 neighborhood and total 5 thousand 266 decare land will be protected from flood losses.
