Karataş Bridge is under construction

Karataş Bridge is being Constructed: The Karataş Bridge, which was destroyed in the flood disaster in the last months in the Oltu District of Erzurum, is being rebuilt.
Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Rural Department Road Branch Manager Ayhan Karaoğlu said that the work has begun for the demolished leg of the Karataş Bridge.
Karaoglu examining the work on the bridge site, the bridge will be re-opened within a month, he said.
Residents of Karataş Village stated that they reached 30 kilometers every day due to the collapse of the bridge and said that they would recover from this problem with the construction of the bridge.
Road Branch Manager Ayhan Karaoğlu stated that the work could not be done due to the high flow rate of the Henek Stream in the spring season, and that they started the construction of the bridge without wasting time with the fall of the water level.
Karaoğlu, together with Oltu Site Chief Hüseyin Acar, followed up the work to expand the İnci Village bridge, which was started a while ago. Expressing that the expansion work of the bridge has been completed, Karaoğlu added that they have solved the problems experienced at the transportation point in Oltu one by one.
